Azerbaijan Entry and Visa Formalities

Passport: required by all.
Passport validity: required at least for the duration of visa.
Visa regime: entry visas required by all, except CIS- residents.
Visa category: foreign citizens are provided with entry, return,
transit, exit visas in conformity with purpose of a visit.

Requirements for Visa Application: (tourist, individual, business trip)
1-2. The following documents are required for visa issue:
- filled-in application form
- one new photo
- valid Passport or Copy of Voucher issued by duly authorised tourist
company stating the data as follows:
- entry-exit date
- route
- transport facilitie
- category of servicing
- the sum of payment being effected by the client or the official
invitation forwarded by the hosting organisation or a person residing
in
Azerbaijan to support visa application. It should contain information
about purpose of a visit, route, duration of staying, dates of
arrival/departure.3. In case of a transit through the territory of the
Azerbaijan Republic, foreign citizens are provided with a 5-day (five)
transit visa if they possess certified travel documents to the next
point of destination.

Visa Processing: In order to obtain a visa at the Embassies or
Consulates of Azerbaijan abroad, foreign citizen is required to submit
a
visa application stating purpose of visiting and date of entry. All the
required documents and the receipt of visa fee should be attached.
Foreign citizens who arrive in Azerbaijan from the countries which have
no Consulate of the Azerbaijan Republic, may obtain entry visa upon
arrival at the airport.
